2007 Singles Retreat

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Single's Ministries has clearly achieved yet another Memorial Day Retreat of Fun and Spiritual growth in Christ's name, for area Singles right here in our Willamette Valley. New friendships, spiritual growth, personal direction and servant avenues have been created.  This past weekend I personally seen individuals not only come in need for a deeper understanding in Christ, but as a truly blessed gift from God.  Our retreat did not have worship leaders going into the weekend.  Friday came and within hours of starting our retreat, one of our attendees signed up and decided to come last minute.  Accompanied by another in music, God blessed us with both piano and guitar all weekend long – they have both committed to returning next year, as part of the Worship Team.

We had 2 new volunteers, servants of God that grew from the 2006 Retreat - get involved and support in service, adding to this year's retreat success. This volunteer number has grown to approximately 20, after this year's Retreat.  Yes! We have approximately 20 of this year's attendees wanting to get involved in the 2008 Single's Retreat, working in areas of service that will grow the Retreat, reach brothers and  sisters for Christ and attain a new level of spiritual growth in Christ.  This Retreat is truly maturing into something more than just equipping Singles on a personal Spiritual Journey; it is birthing Christ's Servants, Disciples, Spiritual Leaders and more.

Like with most growth and changes, we have found out that SeaKrest has been sold and the long-standing host site, for the Singles Memorial Day Weekend Retreat, will now be coming to a new location in 2008 - so stay tuned!

I want to personally thank all who have been instrumental in helping God’s Love grow, for my Brothers and Sisters.  Your Love is clearly nurturing Hearts that seek to know and follow in Christ's name - building a better tomorrow for many others that they will also reach.  If you want to donate anything, add a service or see an opportunity within this Ministry, contact  Salem First Church of the Nazarene or me and we will get you connected.  What decisions you make, don't go unnoticed by our Heavenly Father - I'm just so thankful, that he lets me remind you of that, through his very example of our Retreat.

Our message was for Singles to step out of their "Comfort Zone."  What do you think? Are Single Retreats a worthy investment?  And how about those Singles?  May God Bless your Heart also, and all that He does through it.
