Dear First Family,

I’m writing to you today with disappointment. As you know, we’ve been planning on a special Spiritual Emphasis Weekend with Ray Vander Laan this coming weekend. Last night we were notified Ray took a terrible fall from a ladder he was working on and it resulted in him being seriously injured with cracked ribs and a broken pelvis. Would you take a moment and lift him in your prayers right now? I know it will make a difference.

So, what does this mean? It means that you’ve got Friday and Saturday off, but Sunday is still going to be a GREAT DAY! If you purchased tickets you have some options. Ray will be rescheduling so you can hang onto your tickets to use later, or you can return your tickets to the church office for a refund. Thank you for your understanding! You’re the best!

On another note…
~ We had an outstanding Lord’s Day here at Salem First. Great reminders that God can use our suffering, hardship, difficulties, trials to advance the kingdom. Let me encourage you – don’t waste your suffering. Let God do something good in you and through you.
~ If you’re looking for a good study to be a part of right now, I’ve just launched JESUS’ DOZEN – on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm in the London Room. It’s an in-depth look at the 12 disciples. Would love to have you join us. I promise, you’ll grow!
~ A special THANKS to Ken Feetham and the tireless crew of volunteers that have labored faithfully through rain and shine to get all of our landscaping in place. Water lines, sprinkler systems, plants and trees. WOW, does it look beautiful. Way to go crew!

Please know that I’m thanking God for you today. I’m grateful for what God is up to in our church. Thanks for your tremendous support and faithful partnership!

Grace and Peace,

Pastor D.
