Dear First Family,

I’ve been anxious to sit down and scratch out a few lines to you, and I say this because we’ve got some OUTSTANDING events coming our way. Let me quickly tell you about them.

10-10-10 – October 10th is just around the corner. We’ve been praying and asking God to show us some people in our lives that don’t yet know Him. As we identify who these people are, we would diligently pray for their salvation, and then… risk inviting them to join us at church on 10/10. So, we’re planning a wonderful morning that will include a simple salvation message. I want to encourage you, there’s still time to invite. There’s still time to pray. There’s still time to believe that God can and will reach your friend or family member’s heart. Come expecting a great morning!

October 17 – Pastor Keith Ritter will be speaking in both services. This will be a treat for us as he and I trade pulpits and I have a chance to be with the OASIS family. Our desire is to keep the two churches connected and to be an encouragement to one another. Keith will be preaching a piece of our current series, PARADOX.

October 24 – BAPTISM – We will be celebrating the sacrament of Baptism in just a few weeks. As you know, these are always tremendous times with great testimonies, and you might want to be included. If so, simply contact us here at the office and let us know of your desire. Let’s be praying for these new converts as they take this next step.

RAY VANDERLAAN – NOVEMBER 5-7 – Here’s a weekend you don’t want to miss. We have a chance to have one of the PREMIER BIBLE TEACHERS in the country coming to spend an entire weekend with us. I cannot over emphasize the impact this will have on everyone who attends. The cost for Friday and Saturday is $25 per person, but this totally offsets any offerings. If you’ve found yourself saying, “Our church could sure use a spiritual shot in the arm, or REVIVING BOOST," this is the weekend that God will use to do some great things. I strongly encourage you to make the sacrifice, get your ticket, include a friend, pray, and come expecting. You’ll not be disappointed!

Building Completion – We’re coming down to the finish line and it won’t be long before the building construction will be completed. As you know, the construction being finished doesn’t furnish the building. This is a piece that we continue to keep before us. We also want to get started on the CHILDREN’S RELOCATION. Both of these pieces are the remaining projects in the $5.5 million dollar undertaking. At this point, we’ve come 90% of the way in raising funds and giving our pledges. We have 10% left to raise and we’re there! WOW, this is fantastic! But, we’ve got to keep this target in front of us so that we complete the entire project. Thank you for your faithful generosity! If you haven’t been a participant – this is a great time to jump in. We want to get the final $550,000 pledged so we can continue with the in-house construction. Thanks for partnering with us.
