Esther

Note to you as a Parent,

This week we look at a woman who literally saved her people from certain death and genocide. Her actions are celebrated yearly in the Jewish celebration of Purim and looked back on with awe. Esther is one of the great women in the Bible and when most people think of her they think of beauty, grace, and charm. When I think of her I picture bravery, devotion and allegiance. We are going to talk about how God will put us in places and situations so that we can do some great things. I’ve heard it said by a wise man that our gift from God is our talents, gifts, and abilities. Our gift to God is how we use them. I’m going to be focusing on how we can use our everyday circumstances for God’s glory. If we listen to God and follow God’s leading; we can be the ones that bring heaven to earth.

Heroic Qualities:

Courage

Conviction in her beliefs

Allegiance to her people
