Heroes - Mary

Note to you as a Parent:

We just finished the “What does it mean to be a Christian” series and we are now on to a fun, intense, and hopefully meaningful new series; “Heroes” Where my goal with the last Wednesday night series was to give everyone a good foundation in Christianity to stand on, my goal here is going to be to bring home the idea that anyone and everyone can and will be used by God if they are willing and ready. Last week we learned about Mary the mother of Jesus and how great of a Hero she was. Her Courage, Determination, and Obedience to God were three of her character qualities that helped make her one of God’s Heroes. This week we are going to be meeting the boy who gave Jesus his lunch that ended up feeding 5,000 people on a grassy hill one warm summer day. Like this young boy, we too have things that seem small and not very important to us, but God can use these things in great ways. Try to focus this week in finding what gifts and talents your children have. Pray that God will help you develop their gifts for God’s Glory!
