The messages will be encouraging, practical, and a little challenging. Challenging in the sense that “staying the same” is not the goal, but moving to a better place in your relationship with God is. 

And we offer two styles of worship music depending on your taste. Our 9:00am Traditional service is hymn-filled, with an occasional choir ensemble. Our 10:45am Modern worship service is full of energy and a band that rocks while leaning into moments of reflection.

No. Salem First is an exciting, vibrant, everyday-teaching type church with the goal of “keeping it simple.” Even if you have never attended church before, you will walk away encouraged and knowing something more about God. And if you don’t feel welcome, we’ll be surprised.

You will find Salem First to be a genuinely friendly, nurturing, and spiritually alive church, where people like you, “with issues,” are experiencing real life-change every day. Remember, it’s a journey with God, and you’re welcome to walk yours.

Yes. We offer age-graded classes for children in both Sunday morning services: Timbertown is for children Birth to pre-K. Kidsworld is for children in Kindergarten to 3rd grade. If you have a 4th or 5th grader, there is a large group meeting in the MERGE room. All Middle School and High School students (6th-12th grade) meet for Explore Groups during the 9:00am service and in a Small Group setting on Wednesday nights from Labor Day to Memorial Day.

Oh, yeah! We are convinced that Christ-followers are meant to be in relationship with others in order to grow in their spiritual lives, and we have various types of group opportunities for that to happen.

Yes, we are part of the Nazarene Church, an evangelical, Bible-based denomination. What this basically means is that we believe God is real, He loves you, and we want to tell you about it. We also believe that the Bible is God’s Word to all people, and it contains His message of love for us, and we center all our teaching on it.

No membership required! We do offer a SALEMNEXT group periodically, which is an opportunity to get to know why we do what we do as a church, and you are welcome to attend this group. But membership is never required in order to attend worship… or grow.

Come as you are. It is likely you will see people in jeans AND sport coats. We want your time at Salem First to be comfortable, relaxed, and purposeful. Really… come as you are!
